Full job description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented House Cleaner to maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized private household. The successful candidate will perform routine cleaning, housekeeping, laundry, and household maintenance duties while ensuring a safe and comfortable home environment.
Position: House Cleaner / Light Duty Cleaner – NOC 65310
Location: Scarborough, Ontario, M1E 4C4
Employment Type: Full-time, Term/Contract
Hours: 30 hours per week
Wage: $36.92 per hour
Schedule: Day shift
Vacancies: 1
Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Setting: Employer’s private home; on-site work only.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
Language: English

Responsibilities
Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
Dust furniture
Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture
Make beds and change sheets
Stock linen closets
Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
Pick up debris and empty garbage containers
Launder clothing and household linens
Mend clothing and linens when required
Perform general light housekeeping and cleaning duties
Wash windows, walls and ceilings
Required Qualifications
Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
7 months to less than 1 year of related cleaning or housekeeping experience
Ability to communicate in English
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work on site in a private household
Reliable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in residential or household cleaning
Organized and able to manage cleaning tasks efficiently
Honest and trustworthy
Patient and dependable
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Knowledge of safe cleaning and disinfecting practices
Good time-management skills
